Customer Sales & Service Representative

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a broad knowledge of communication products and technology 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all sales products and services and be proactive in attracting new customers-make recommendations to exceed the customer’s expectation. 
  • Assist with questions, complaints, and concerns that customers may have and resolutions for a positive outcome and experience 
  • Communicate effectively with all vendors, co-workers, customers, and visitors 
  • Perform daily and monthly audits of internal accounts and maintains organized filing systems 
  • Create, process & route service orders and trouble tickets; maintain accurate data bases for various product & services across multiple lines. 
  • Provide customer courtesy follow-ups calls or via email notification if appropriate 
  • Appropriately handle and maintain customer proprietary information in accordance to company policy 
  • Outbound sales and service calling, lead generation, and solution selling. 
  • Attend & participate in regularly scheduled service, sales and/or training meetings.

Fiber Plant Operations Technician

Position Type: Full time
Location: Truro, Iowa

Basic Job Function

Perform the installation, configuration, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of all service offerings. Design, construct, splice, test, and maintain all aspects of telecommunication outside plant.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and contribute to a sales culture.
• Install, maintain, and repair of Internet, Wi-Fi, and phone service in a residential and commercial setting.
• Install, maintain, and repair all aspects of a FTTH plant, this would include but not limited to buried fiber cable, pedestal, service drops, premises entrance and electronics.
• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cable this would include but not limited to prepping cable, fusion splice, locating, reentering existing splice case, identifying fibers using fiber count, and using OTDR and other fiber test equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair of customer premise wiring including but not limited to Cat5e, Cat6, telecom power system wiring, and other low voltage wiring.
• Oversee contractors constructing buried plant ensuring adherence to company guidelines.
• Operate heavy equipment such a vibrating plow for the construction of mainline and service drop fiber optic cable.
• Explain services and demonstrate equipment operations to customers and respond to related questions as needed.
• Be punctual and reliable for scheduled work hours and workdays.
• Run after-hours troubleshooting and assist in performing after hours scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs as needed.
• As required, be responsible for “on call” commitments and “after hours” maintenance work.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned while working in a team environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Outbound and inbound sales and service, lead generation, and solution selling.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all products and services and be proactive in attracting new customers.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of communication products and related technology
  • Be an active member in outside sales initiatives, events, and promotions.
  • Assist customers who contact OmniTel with sales and service questions.
  • Provide Service Desk and Help Desk support and resolve problems effectively.
  • Effectively assist with all customer questions, complaints, and concerns in an efficient manner.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with all vendors, co-workers, customers, and visitors
  • Appropriately handle and maintain customer proprietary information in accordance with company policy
  • Active Participant of advertising and marketing team.
  • Attain monthly sales/service expectations of goals.
  • Attend regularly scheduled service, sales and/or training meetings.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and be responsible for covering all retail/office service shifts
  • The ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Supervisor, Managers, Directors, and external audiences.
